Disappointed with this company.
We bought a Sea turtle excursion with this company. They were using a 3rd party affiliate (Shore Excursioner) that I bought this tour through. It was advertised "Sea turtle snorkeling excursion". As we were on the boat headed out to the snorkeling location the guide asked if we were ready to see sharks and sting rays. I said "Sea turtles". She said it wasn't time for Sea turtles that it's their nesting ... more and breeding season. We would have never bought a sting ray and shark excursion with an on the spectrum son for sure! Sea turtles are his thing and the only reason we spent that kind of money. Definitely wasn't what we were expecting, and wasn't what we paid for. Neither company wants to take blame for the false advertising. Shore Excursioner has given us back our deposit but Splash Wave Tours will not return my emails or texts.

Prepare to be angry and disappointed!
HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Ruined my vacation. The one excursion I had planned was through them. I take $25 taxi to tour pickup location, after no one showed up I called Splash Wave and was told it was canceled because not enough people booked it! They did not apologize, really acted like it was no big deal that they couldn't be bothered to let me know when they had my phone number and email! I ... more had to pay another $25 taxi fare to return to my hotel and now I'm fighting for a refund of the excursion fee and I'm out the extra $50 for taxis.

Terrible Customer Service
Contacted Splash Wave Tours at least 4 times so emails, their online form and ny WhatsApp and no one ever got back to me. I was going to book all our tours through them while in Belize.

Engine broke down twice, had to be picked up by rescue boat
1) Engine broke down when arriving initially at Caye Caulker, stranding us on the island for two hours (vs 15min scheduled) in the morning, instead of heading out to sea for snorkeling. The engines need to be tested and properly maintained BEFORE taking customers out to sea! 2) Worse was non-communications to us while on the island. We were told to hang out at the Strand for “a little bit while I ... more get your tickets”, before guide disappeared for two hours (they were trying to fix engine). With no communications, and no guide phone number to call, we thought we were stranded on the island. Until we asked the locals to walk us back to boat dock. The guide phone number need to be provided to customers at the outset, and the guide need to openly communicate any issues with the tour! 3) When the engine was “fixed”, we headed out to rushed snorkeling, that lasted at most 45min in aggregate (rather than the 1.5hrs we thought we were getting). 4) Then, when we headed back to Belize City, the engine kept sputtering, and the captain was manually trying to fix the engine in route, before giving up and calling for backup boat to pick us up and bring us back to Belize City. When there’s engine trouble initially, the backup boat should’ve been provided back at Caye Caulker! 5) The tour guide did as good a job as she could given the lost time and fear factor on our part.

Last minute canceled tour left us scrambling
I would not even consider using this tour company again if it were free. After waiting over an hour for our tour to start, we were told that not enough people signed up for the tour, and they were canceling it. Many excuses were given while we waited that hour for the tour. We were led on by Splash Wave while they tried to get more people to sign up. In the end, we wasted over an hour in port, and ... more had to scramble to find something else to do. Extremely dishonest and untrustworthy company!

Amazing Snorkeling Tour!
We had a wonderful day exploring the Belize Barrier Reef with Stacy. She was an awesome tour guide - she shared so much with us about her country. It is obvious that she is passionate about Belize and loves to share that passion with people visiting. My husband was excited to snorkel, but I am not a strong swimmer and was very nervous. They made sure I was comfortable, helped me get my bearings in ... more the water and I had the most amazing time watching the wildlife and seeing the reef. Just stunning! Unfortunately, there was a large group of people that booked our tour as well and insisted that it was a private tour and were rude and disrespectful to the staff. They refused to board the boat until Stacy had already tried everything, so we left and then they yelled and forced us to come back. It was really frustrating for us as fellow tourists because these rude people basically took almost an hour of our day. But we were just in awe with how Stacy, Patrick, and the rest of the crew continued to smile and be as kind to them as possible and kept the tour on a positive note. We chose this tour last minute because Royal Caribbean canceled a previously schedule excursion on us at the last minute. I'm so grateful that happened because, aside from the rude fellow tourists, this day couldn't have been better!

Private snorkeling tour with Emerson and Cesar
My friends and I had a great day snorkeling and boating with Emerson and Cesar! They were very friendly and helpful. A private tour was the way to go! We got one-on-one attention and didn't have to snorkel with a huge group of people. They also kept track of the time to make sure we were back to our cruise ship just in time.
