A family-owned business established in 1984 on the island of Ambergris Caye, Amigos Del Mar, started off as a tiny dock on the beach with nothing but a thatched roof and a group of brothers along with a few of their close friends and an aspiration to share the best of their home with the world. Amigos Del Mar is now an SSI Diamond Dive Center and SDI resort facility which specializes in full-service diving, instruction, snorkeling, boat charters and is ideally situated in the heart of San Pedro Town.

Amazing experience & Great guides
Awesome time . My kids (8 & 13) havent stopped talking about it. The guides were great and made my kids feel comfortable interacting with the nurse sharks and rays and they had the time of their life. This was my wife and I second time and we enjoyed even more this go round.

Awesome trip!
This was an incredible experience - taking a boat 2.5 hours into the ocean to snorkel a reef was not something I had done before and it was exhilarating. Halfmoon Caye was incredibly beautiful and was a comfortable place to stop for lunch. All the food served was incredible - we had a full breakfast spread of fruit, coffee, and banana bread before we left and the lunch (especially the coconut pie!) ... more was fantastic. The only minor complaint I had was that our snorkels would take on a lot of water (there were two of us and we both had this experience with our snorkels)- I did not have this experience with gear on another tour. The crew were personable and professional - they stopped the boat when we observed dolphins and whales. They also played music and checked in with us often. This was an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trip and I recommend it heartily.

Great experience!
We did a full day snorkel tour and it was amazing. We had so much fun and got to see so much! My husband and I were first time snorkelers and Said was a great teacher and made sure to point out an name nearly every creature we saw during the snorkeling. Afterwards we got super lucky and saw a Manatee (which not a lot of people had recently), and then got to get really close to sting rays. Overall ... more would definitely book again!!!

Great trip
We snorkeled and had an amazing time. The guides were great and there was a guide specifically for the snorkelers. The lunch was great. It is a long way out and back with rough seas depending on weather but I would definitely recommend this trip. They even picked us up from our resort by water for free. Half moon cay was the prettiest water we have ever seen out of all our Caribbean area travels.

Bucket list for sure!
Wowsa! An absolutely incredible day! From the pick up at our dock, to fresh banana bread (thx capitán!) even the 2 hour trip out there, we say mama & baby dolphins! While at the 3 snorkeling locations, Chris helped us see so many fish, rays, puffers, lobster, coral, & even a baby reef shark! I can’t even imagine any way that the day could’ve been better. On the way home we even saw whales!! Lunch ... more was delicious too. You will not be sad at the end of this day!!

Snokelling in the Blue Hole
The reef in the area is very beautiful with different types of corals (better than the reef closer to the coast) which makes the snorkelling an unforgettable experience. Staff on the boat is very polite and professional .

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
We were incredibly fortunate to have BIG BIRD as our snorkel guide. He is the BEST! I am a freak in the water, hate being cold, and sink like a rock, so Bird really had his work cut out for him. I went with my husband and 2 adult children and forced myself to be part of the family experience and to my surprise, I had the best time!! I owe it all to BIG BIRD. He secured a life jacket around my waist ... more and I also held onto a life ring with a tow line in his hands. I felt so safe and comfortable that I actually relaxed and enjoyed the turtles, rays, colorful fish, coral, squid, etc. I even swam with the nurse sharks! We had a Go Pro camera and Bird took it several times to take close up videos of the rays, turtles, squid and fish. He popped up to the surface constantly to tell us about what we were seeing. Bird is so energetic, knowledgeable, and passionate about the sea life in this reef that we couldn't help but LOVE it too! On the boat, there were huge birds hovering over him, that literally ate right out of his hand--maybe that's where his nickname comes from! Anyway, Bird went above and beyond to ensure that our family had a wonderful experience and we are so thankful that he was our guide. Thanks BIG BIRD!

What a perfect day
We can not recommend this tour enough. We did the full day. Everything they said we might see we did see including seahorses. My husband said it was a perfect day at least 5 times. Our guides were nice and funny. Worth every penny.

Outstanding Service and Terrific Adventure
4 tourists and two guides. Two of us had not had the experience prior. The guides were patient and kind. What a terrifice day. Caye Caulker is well worth the trip. Snorkeling was incredible. Guides explained everything. We had a life jacket around our waist because unsure of our ability. Husband enjoyed the day. Such a great experience and well worth the money.

Wonderful choice

Jordan was Amazing
I would Highly recommend booking the tour with Jordan (Nickname Soup). He was extremely helpful with making sure that you had the right gear on and that it was comfortable. Also, he did everything to make you feel Extremely safe, so that you could easily have an enjoyable time.
